Position:  Senior Oracle Database Administrator (Bethpage, New York)

Duties: Support ERP application management of Oracle Finance, Order Management, Purchasing, Workflow, Mobile Supply Chain Applications which extends to ancillary systems as Weblogic, OBIEE, OID, Oracle EPM and Discoverer. Work closely with functional and development team to support Oracle Applications, Development Tools, and third party solutions. Partner with technical and business groups to ensure that database performance adhere to enterprise service level agreements.  Identify system problems and recommend and implement resolutions. Optimize current systems in order to allow for integration, flexibility, stability, and scalability while preserving existing functionality. Support EBS developers for custom coding, code migration, interface design, XML publisher reporting, database procedures and concurrent requests; and create UNIX shell scripts to monitor services.  Interact with end users to troubleshoot reported problems and to perform required database maintenance activities. Assist in all facets of infrastructure lifecycle management, and perform administrative activities such as cloning, backup/restore and patching.  Conduct software audits of the database products for compliance with established standards, policies, configuration guidelines, and procedures. Lead offshore resources to provide day-to-day support on projects.

Requirements: Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus 3 years of experience performing Oracle ERP database administration. In the alternative, the employer is willing to accept a Bachelor's degree and 5 years  of experience as noted above. Also requires: 1)            Demonstrated Expertise (DE) utilizing Oracle E-Business Suite Applications technical architecture 11i and 12i, in UNIX, Linux, IBM and HP UX environments; 2) DE performing Multi-node E-business implementation, applying patches, cloning environments, trouble-shooting concurrent managers and forms/reports issues, and configuring load-balancers; 3) DE supporting company financial systems such as month-end and quarter-end closings, including data flow, scheduling, and troubleshooting on  multiple versions of Oracle EBS modules including Inventory, AP, GL, FA, MSCA, Order Management, I-Supplier, I-Expense and Purchasing; 4) DE utilizing Weblogic, Hyperion, OBIEE, WebCenter (Capture, Imaging and Recognition), OAM, SSO and third party product Vertex, Unitask which entails installation, configuration and integration with Oracle EBusiness Suite; and, 5) DE performing Capacity Planning and supporting a high availability environment.  Submit resume to recruit@cablevision.com and include job title and “Job Code TRK” in the subject line.
