Lightpath develops customized, commercial telecommunications services and solutions for medium- and large-size businesses, including hospitals and schools in the New York Tri-State area.
The Vertical Market Manger is responsible for assisting in the overall direction of Business Services’ approach to the critical vertical markets which represent major opportunities for revenue and product growth. Strong focus on the development and implementation of a strategic plan to guide the Account Executives and Sales Leaders to successfully attain revenue goals for specific verticals. Responsible for ensuring the dissemination of best practices throughout the organization in regards to these major vertical markets. Leads a team to maximize new Monthly Recurring Revenue from vertical accounts and retain existing customers through development and direction of sales force and sales engineer. Assists in the continued development, refinement and goal setting of Vertical markets with the main goal to improve products and solutions targeting Verticals in order to maintain and maximize revenue. Assists the team of Subject Matter Experts in strategy and preparation of proposals and negotiates senior management representatives. Assists in forecast account and customer goals and objectives and establishes reporting to track success of the focused efforts.
• 4+ years telecommunications experience.
• 3+ years experience managing an outside sales team.
• Strong computer skills including spreadsheet, database and word processing software. Networking a plus.
• Excellent leadership and management experience.
• Proven success with complex solution sales in Vertical Markets.
• Strong project management, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Must have valid drivers license.
