Job Summary

The Security Operations Manager of Altice USA will lead the Security Operations team implementing Network Security and Information Security operational and engineering plans supporting the CTIO vision and strategy for service provider and enterprise IT infrastructure. You will continually partner with company leaders and industry best practice consortiums to incorporate new regulatory mandate security controls into the existing Information and Network Security Program.

The ideal candidate must have the ability to logically work through issues, prioritize, and demonstrate strong decision making skills. In addition, the candidate must communicate effectively to all levels of management and vendors to obtain buy-in and build consensus on IT recommended solutions, as well as have experience in troubleshooting outages while being under pressure.

Responsibilities

  •  Responsible for the day-to-day operations, tickets fulfilment, changes implementation and life cycle management of the following security technologies:
    • Firewalls
    • Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems
    • DDoS mitigation
    • Encryption, public an internal PKI
    • Virtual Private Networks (VPN)
    • Network monitoring/traffic analysis
    • Internet Access control/web filtering
    • Security monitoring and alerting
    • Network Admission Control (NAC)
    • End Point Protection
    • Strong Authentication
    • Vulnerability Assessments
    • Identity management.
  • Manage the operation, implementation and maintenance of solutions and technologies and enforce security policies.
  • Define and review the internal standards and procedures used by Security Operations team.
  • Ensure that security policies, procedures and technologies support regulatory compliance requirements including National Security Agreement, Sarbanes-Oxley,PCI-DSS and HIPAA.
  • Provide an attention to detail that prevents stealthy cyber-attacks.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in network security, systems security, or information security in an engineering role.
  • Bachelor's degree or related field or requisite job experience.
  • One or more of the following professional certifications desired: Cisco CCNP (Routing & Switching or Security), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), GIAC Security Expert (GSE) certification
  • Ability to work flexible hours on-site or remote as needed, 24 hours on call systems support.
  • Analytical skills for thoroughly examining complex networks and for identifying vulnerabilities.
  • Excellent Network Security Forensics skills and knowledge and use of network forensic tools and proper handling of data.
  • Communication skills to train co-workers and leaders on threats and protection protocols
  • Ability to test for, track, and resolve threats including malfunctions and attacks
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) for at least one of the following technologies: Firewalls: Check Point, Cisco ASA, Cisco Firepower or F5 AFM, Cisco Routers & Switches, Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) based on Cisco ASA/Cisco FTD, DDoS mitigation with Arbor, F5 Application Delivery Controllers LTM, AFM and GTM, Radware IPS/IDS, Penetration testing., Security vulnerability scanning, Linux hardening, MS Active Directory, Identity Management
  • Ability to maintain server, LAN, and WAN architecture
  • Infrastructure documentation and event reporting capabilities
  • Knowledge of cyber laws and compliance
  • Working knowledge of PCI, NIST and Information Security Best Practices.
