Job Summary

We are looking for a product marketing leader to drive product engagement, positioning, messaging, and branding. The Rate My Professor’s Product Marketing Manager will work with our product team and turn our millions of users into loyal users and fans beyond their class scheduling time of year.

Who we are: Rate My Professor’s(“RMP”) is on a mission to grow our reliable and familiar user generated content site that millions of college students use when deciding their class schedule to being the go to platform for university students to use to navigate their college experience throughout their college journey.

Who You Are 

  • Experienced with B2C start-ups and product launches
  • Experienced project manager who is able to plan and execute multi-channel user engagement & activation plans
  • Understands product promotion and user engagement
  • Able to partner with Product & third-party research companies to help define the direction of RMP
  • Keen ability to understand our target university audience and how to engage with them
  • Data driven decision maker with the need and ability to test and pivot as needed
  • Strong organizational and excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-growing startup environment and can work collaboratively and cross-functionally, as a leader.
  • Experienced with targeting, segmentation, product positioning, value propositions, and essential messaging across numerous marketing channels
  • Skilled at creating and managing marketing budgets

Responsibilities

  • Drive awareness, adoption, and ongoing engagement of Rate My Professors and all of its offerings
  • Oversee the creation and distribution of promotional campaigns for both key and new products & features
  • Create and execute go to market plans to drive more regular product engagement through a diverse set of tactics and channels
  • Identify new areas of monetization for RMP
  • Create and manage annual product marketing budget for RMP
  • Create and manage relationships campuses and / or on campus groups & partners to drive engagement at campuses
  • Oversee email and online campaigns.
  • Find the best way to reach and get feedback from our users
  • Develop strategic relationships with campuses
  • Work with Product and user experience strategists to analyze our customers’ pain points and needs through qualitative and quantitative research, and to develop solutions to meet those needs
  • Manage any third part research companies and their deliverables
  • Set clear, measurable product marketing goals and track progress against them, making continuous recommendations for how we can improve

Qualifications

  • 5+ years as a product marketer working in a fast-paced product centric environment  
  • Experience driving projects with cross-functional colleagues. 
  • Bachelors’ degree in marketing, communications, business, sociology, or related field

Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is 115,224.00 - 184,358.00 / year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
