Job Summary

The Head of Product and Category Management for Mobile will have full end-to-end ownership and full product P/L accountability for the mobile category. This senior leader will report to the EVP, Chief Growth Officer with a GM approach focused on delivering a comprehensive and competitive portfolio, product lifecycle strategy and plan to drive profitable revenue, subscriber growth, market share gain, and retention to achieve and exceed corporate budget plan objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Full responsibility for the strategy of the “4P’s” of product management within mobile product portfolio
  • Accountable for product P/L and achieving and exceeding corporate budget plan objectives – includes driving profitable revenue, subscriber growth, market share gain, and retention
  • Creates and articulates Category growth vision for cross functional partners
  • Ensure a competitive portfolio with the right products, price, line logic, promotion and channel enablement to maxims revenue, growth and loyalty
  • Category leadership for strategic and operational MVNO relationship and commercialization
  • Develop product roadmap for mobile products and services ensuring the right strategic portfolio and managing sequence of development
  • Responsible for the Optimum mobile device portfolio, accessories, and device operations including selection and delivery
  • Strong and active strategic and execution partnership with key cross functional teams to ensure successful category management of product portfolio
  • Innovate new unique selling points (USPs) for current and future connectivity solutions, and partner tightly with Product Development and Product Operations to plan and enable development of amazing and successful products and services
  • Create compelling data driven customer and user stories and business requirements to drive customer experience journeys and drive conversion across the footprint and incorporating more hyper local market needs/opportunities
  • Monitor competitive landscape and market trends and incorporate that intelligence in recommendations made to executive leadership and key cross functional partners such as Product Development
  • Develop and deliver product strategy material for product council and operations reviews

Qualifications

  • BA required/MA or MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 10+ years in mobile leadership role
  • Experience in business transformation with a proven track record of consistent delivery against business plans and targets
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of the mobile product and services ecosystem, as well as, effective management of strategic MVNO relationships
  • P&L leadership and mindset with a strong track record of growth
  • Strong financial analysis capabilities
  • Proven experience building a culture of data-driven decision-making, action, and delivery
  • Proven ability to collaborate across growth, technology, sales, operations, and marketing teams to optimize and expand product offerings and solutions while driving growth and delivering of customer promise
  • Robust understanding of consumer behavior
  • Proven executive presence, strategic capabilities, effective collaborator, and superior influencing skills
  • Demonstrated experience developing and providing sound, data-driven guidance and decisions to senior business leadership on sales strategies and performance
  • Demonstrates influential leadership with authentic motivation capabilities, and proven ability to successfully manage through transformation and change

Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $250,000.00 - $287,500.00 / year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
