Job Summary

Reporting to the Sr Director Business Planning - News & Advertising, the Director Financial Planning and Analysis will primarily be responsible for Financial Planning and Analysis for the company’s Juice Media business, a high growth advertising agency division, including oversight of budgeting/forecasting, month-end close activities, and financial reporting. The successful leader in this role will be a proactive partner to business leadership to ensure business performs to plan.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the successful completion of the annual budget, forecast or financial plan by ensuring it meets the requirements of the Company in terms of achieving stated financial and operating objectives and is submitted on a timely basis. 
  • Supervises month end close by working closely with accounting department to ensure accurate and consistent recording of revenue and expenses
  • Prepare and present monthly financial results with in-depth variance explanations
  • A resource for business leaders to help achieve operational and financial goals by providing advice and feedback along with developing action steps to get back to plan
  • Review contracts before they are executed
  • Foster effective information flow and communication to ensure financial results and reports are consistent
  • Identify best practices to improve to current workflow and create efficiencies and consistencies across networks
  • Assist with special projects and ad-hoc analysis

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance.  Master’s degree is a plus
  • Minimum of 12+ years of experience with strong analytical skills and can take accountability/ownership to drive results
  • Mergers and Acquisitions Experience required  
  • Ability to manage staff, set expectations and monitor delegated activities
  • Great interpersonal skills, effective written and oral communication withal levels of management, organize, attention to details, and can multitask
  • Ability to adapt to changes in scope of position
  • Cultivate cooperative working relationship, a team player, self-starter, adhere to deadlines while ensuring a high level of accuracy, professionalism, confidentiality, and quality
  • Able to work independently and under pressure in a fast pace environment
  • Fast learner with the ability to identify problems and seek solutions
  • Willing to be flexible and work hard to support business needs
  • Media experience is a plus

Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $121,715.00 - $194,744.00 / year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
