Job Summary
The VMware Horizon VDI Administrator is responsible for the management and operation of the VMware Horizon Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI). This role involves ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the information systems that support core organizational functions. The administrator will serve as a Level 2 escalation point for Service Desk for a geographically diverse end-user population, providing direct end-user support and interaction for troubleshooting user-related issues. Responsibilities also include patching, maintenance, and troubleshooting of UAGs, Connection Servers, vCenters, as well as working knowledge of ESXi hosts, clusters, and vSAN. App Volumes, DEM, and applicable knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and GPO are also essential.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a Level 2 escalation point for the Service Desk, providing support for a diverse end-user population.
- Oversee the VMware Horizon VDI environment, including provisioning hosts, remediating hosts, and setting up virtual machines.
- Perform patching, maintenance, and troubleshooting of UAGs, Connection Servers, and vCenters.
- Maintain working knowledge of ESXi hosts, clusters, and vSAN.
- Manage App Volumes, DEM, and have applicable knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and GPO.
- Manage the creation and maintenance of VDI Master Images - Win 10/11 base OS and business-specific applications.

Qualifications
- Associate degree or above in an IT-related field or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 3 years of technical experience with Microsoft O/ M365
- Strong troubleshooting skills and direct end-user support experience
- Active Directory knowledge required for security group membership and account troubleshooting issues related to VMware access
- RDS Application support and maintenance
- Windows OS support and troubleshooting
