Job Summary

The Vice President of Field & Network Analytics will be a strategic leader responsible for developing and executing advanced analytics strategies that drive network performance, reliability, and operational excellence. This role will oversee analytics for all network field operations, leveraging AI, machine learning, and advanced data visualization to inform decision-making, optimize resources, and improve service delivery.

Responsibilities

Reporting to senior leadership, this position will partner across Field Operations, Network Engineering, Care, Logistics, and other business units to embed data-driven insights into every level of operational strategy.

Data analytics is transforming network field operations by enabling Optimum to:

•    Optimize Network Performance
•    Improve Customer Experience
•    Reduce Operational Costs
•    Facilitate Strategic Decision-Making

Strategic Direction & Data Analytics Leadership:
•    Oversee network field operations analytics – define and execute comprehensive data strategies that align with organizational goals and business outcomes, to enhance operational efficiency and strengthen decision-making.
•    Utilize data science, machine learning, and data visualization techniques to analyze field and network data, including storm management, predictive asset maintenance, and field work allocation, to drive measurable improvements in network performance, reliability, and security.
•    Oversee the design and deployment of AI-powered solutions, such as recommendation systems and predictive analytics tools.

Team Leadership and Development:
•    Build, lead, and mentor high-performing teams of data analytics professionals.
•    Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making and cross functional collaboration to achieve operational excellence.

Operational Excellence and Process Improvement:
•    Leverage analytics to optimize resource allocation, streamline workflows and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
•    Continuously refine metrics, dashboards and KPIs to monitor and improve operational performance.

Technology Adoption and Innovation:
•    Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies, such as AI, ML, and cloud platforms, to maintain a competitive edge.
•    Evaluate and recommend new technologies and innovative approaches to enhance field and grid operations management.

Stakeholder Engagement:
•    Collaborate with senior leadership and key business unit stakeholders to translate technical insights into actionable business strategies.
•    Communicate data-driven insights and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

•    Bachelor's or Master’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Operations Management or a related field.
•    Extensive experience (typically 10+ years) in network operations and data analytics leadership roles.
•    Proficiency in big data, AI, machine learning, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP are examples).
•    Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
•    Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders at all levels.

Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in New York is $178,500.00 - $255,000.00 / year. For other locations, please inquire with your recruiter. The rates/ranges provided herein are the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and do not reflect future job opportunity.
