Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Account Executive who will be an integral addition in growing our political, issue advocacy, public affairs, and government vertical. The right candidate has boundless energy and will leverage their agency contacts, both new and existing, in their pursuit to provide customized solutions that drive client success through Optimum Media’s core capabilities. Our team is focused on executing streaming CTV ads, online video advertising, and now live sports entertainment advertising. Our next Account Executive will be eager to drive revenue outcomes, exceed sales goals, and be a self-starter eager to grow at this exciting company. This candidate must showcase hustle and drive, as well as commitment to shaping the future of political media.

Responsibilities

  • Have a hunter mindset, always looking for business and big campaign opportunities where Optimum Media could be helpful to clients’ goals and initiatives.
  • Strategically and creatively build a pipeline of sales targets, networking in DC to meet new and upcoming PACs, agencies and potential clients.
  • Build a book of new business, with a focus on political, issue advocacy, and public affairs campaigns, determining necessary strategy to achieve clients’ goals.
  • Partner with Client Services to manage, renew and grow existing clients, ensuring clients’ needs are being exceeded.
  • Develop quality proposals, sales presentations, RFPs, and follow up materials.
  • Be an expert on Optimum Media’s value proposition and product offerings.
  • Maintain and strive to exceed all monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue projections.
  • Accurately project and forecast activity of all accounts.
  • Utilize CRM (Salesforce) to track and manage meetings and opportunities.

Qualifications

  • 6-8 years of experience in the digital media space with at least 3 years of specific sales experience with political, public affairs, and issue advocacy agencies and clients
  • Outstanding in-person presentation skills, written communications wizard, incredible negotiation skills, and master of both Canva and PowerPoint
  • Previous experience successfully driving revenue through prospecting, discovery, pitching, closing and renewing business is a must
  • Ideal candidate will also have extensive experience with attribution modeling, third-party tracking, programmatic ads, and pivot tables
  • Experience working with connected video, streaming CTV, sports advertising, and general knowledge of both the digital advertising and political ecosystems
  • A self-starter, always open to feedback, and nimble enough to grow and change
  • Ability to thrive and be highly effective in a fast-paced not-structured environment
  • Able to travel to DC/NYC (50% of time), available for client emergencies late nights, weekends, etc
  • Prior work experience in relevant media sales with an emphasis in digital media or experience working on a political campaign or public affairs firm

Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $58,738.00 - $96,499.00 / year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
