Job Summary
The Vice President, FP&A, Consumer Services position is the senior finance leader for Optimum’s Residential business, partnering closely with the President of Consumer Services and the broader executive team to drive profitable growth, operational excellence, and strategic decision-making. This role provides financial and strategic leadership across all aspects of the Consumer Services portfolio, including marketing strategy, customer growth, pricing, and long-range planning – ensuring that financial insights and analytics shape the company’s strategy and execution.
The VP will lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of business partnership, accountability, analytical rigor and continuous improvement, while serving as a key advisor to senior leadership on performance optimization, investment priorities, and enterprise value creation.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic financial leadership for Optimum’s consumer services division, driving budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning and performance management in alignment with strategic goals
- Partner with senior business leaders to translate operating strategies into financial outcomes, ensuring financial targets, KPIs, and growth initiatives are clearly defined, monitored and achieved
- Lead the development and execution of annual operating plans, long-range planning, and capital allocation strategies – including go-to-market, pricing, product mix, customer acquisition economics and channel-level economics
- Establish financial transparency and discipline across Consumer Services by implementing consistent performance measurement, reporting cadence, and accountability for results
- Partner with corporate teams, including Investor Relations and executive leadership to shape external financial storytelling for quarterly earnings, investor communications and strategic updates
- Develop, mentor and elevate a best-in-class FP&A organization – building future finance leaders and promotion collaboration across the broader enterprise finance team
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, sales, product and operations to ensure that financial strategies align with customer experience, market competitiveness, and long-term value creation
Qualifications
- BS/BA degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA preferred
- 15+ years of operationally focused financial management experience, including experience in a Finance leadership role
- 5+ years experience managing a team with an ability to implement process and structure
- B2C strategy and planning experience in the consumer space required.
- Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities, and extensive experience with financial planning, go to market strategy, forecasting, modeling, and data analysis
- Experience in telecommunications, media, and/or technology strongly preferred
- Proven ability to collaborate with and build effective business partnerships at senior levels of the organization
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills including the ability to establish key operational metrics, summarize and interpret results, and develop strategic, actionable recommendations for leadership decision making

Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $178,500.00 - $255,000.00 / year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
