Job Summary
The Information Technology Operations Analyst will be responsible for developing and implementing changes and new procedures based on the thorough review and analysis of our current policies, resources, operations, processes, and procedures. The Analyst will work closely with the IT Operations manager and the entire operations team to ensure integrity of the systems. This position requires strong computer skills, attention to detail, positive professional attitude, and ability to work in a team environment. The IT Operations Analyst will coordinate with every department, meet with managers, and assess their work processes. Where there are deficiencies, the Analyst will suggest changes and prepare reports for executive and operations managers.
Responsibilities
- Identifying operational requirements and opportunities for improvement
- Gathering information by observing workflows, reading company reports, conducting employee interviews, etc.
- Documenting findings, preparing reports, and making recommendations
- Developing new processes and procedures to enhance operations
- Working with managers and employees to drive forward and implement improvements
- Training employees to use new systems or follow new processes
- Determining the effectiveness of new processes
- Establishing and maintaining quality standards
- Escalate problems to management and/or vendors in a timely fashion
- Develop techniques and implement resolution of problems based on root cause analysis
- Maintains quality of service by establishing and enforcing organization standards
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years in an infrastructure systems environment, preferably in large diverse environment with high availability requirements.
- Knowledge of client server technology (application server, database, etc.) and networking concepts; able to provide technical assistance, design and implement improved methods and procedures for troubleshooting and researching problem. Advanced skill level required.
- Experience analyzing and identifying opportunities to improve workflows and reporting capabilities
- Experience with documenting business processes
- Previous Client Relationship management experience. Ability to function as a liaison between business and IT teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and time management skills
