Job Summary

The Executive Vice President, Field Operations at Altice will serve as a technical leader and thought partner to the CEO and the senior leadership team. This technical executive will direct and oversee all field and network operations activities for the Optimum telecommunications business within Altice, involving all aspects of connecting consumers and businesses to the company’s best in class fiber and DOCSIS networks from end to end.

The scope includes but are not limited to, installation, repair, maintenance, support desk, centralized services, outside plants, contractor/vendor negotiations and management to SLAs, and standardization of processes and procedures.

This role is paramount to the successful rollout of the company’s new Broadband Fiber to the Home initiative.  The leader plays a pivotal role in driving the company’s strategic vision to deliver a best-in-class customer experience and serving as an engaged, hands-on, day-to-day leader across networks.  The leader will establish operational standards consistent with a best-in-class telecommunications company and foster a culture of employee engagement, continuous improvement, outstanding execution, and customer satisfaction.

 

Requirements

The EVP, Field Operations must be an inspirational, influential, and persuasive leader capable of achieving excellent results through others. The role is ultimately responsible for a team of around 1,800 across the USA, along with a sizeable contractor workforce.

  • Oversight and leadership of the entire field and network operations functions, including installation, repair, maintenance, support desk, training, centralized services, outside plants, contractor/vendor relations, process standardization, etc.
  • Serve as a strategic and technical thought partner to the CEO to drive excellence in operational execution and rigor across all core functions and business processes. Provide insight and counsel relative to strategic planning and technical leadership.
  • Partner across the executive leadership team to ensure an end-to-end, best-in-class customer experience is delivered while continuing to drive employee engagement.
  • Establish best-in-class processes and policies that improve the operational effectiveness of the company. Enhance established KPIs, assess performance, advance focus and ensure execution.
  • As a member of the executive leadership team, identify, evaluate, test, track, and report on progress against key strategic priorities to enable growth. Push analytical rigor in thinking and decision-making. Deliver consistent operational results and improvement in the customer experience year after year.

 

Qualifications

  • Successful creation and implementation of world-class engineering, network, and service operations organization
  • Demonstrated success in leading technical operations and process improvements
  • Proven ability to effectively lead and utilize cross-functional teams to design and effectively executive enterprise-wide strategy
  • Track record of leadership in creating followership from employees and improving engagement with customers
  • Multi-region experience with emphasis on serving the consumer.  US market knowledge preferred
  • Strong and proven operational ability with a robust understanding of technical operations levers and P&L tradeoffs
  • Track record demonstrated through clearly identifiable metrics and a natural orientation towards measurements, numbers, and accountability
  • Hands-on operator and adaptive executive who can reinvent the playbook and evolve the business for the current ecosystem
  • Inspiring leader who can assess, attract, and develop talent       
  • Gritty, transformation-oriented executive with the perseverance and open-mindedness to lead and drive paradigm shifts and gets energy from change
  • Excellent communicator with a confident and collaborative style and adept at aligning internal and external stakeholders
