Job Summary
The Human Resources Administrator will assist with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department. The candidate selected for this position must demonstrate a strong work ethic, clear written and verbal communication skills, and sound discretion and independent judgment. The HR Admin generally will provide administrative support to the HR department including without limitation recruiting coordinator tasks, record keeping, data entry and validation, on-boarding, reporting and audits, maintaining employee records, benefits-related questions, and leave of absence tracking. The HR Admin should be driven and demonstrate a professional growth-oriented mindset.
Responsibilities
- Assist with tasks related to the recruiting process.
- Ensure job descriptions are up-to-date and maintained in HR files.
- Work with hiring managers to open new requisitions.
- Maintain Applicant Tracking System (ATS): posting requisitions, viewing resumes, sending resumes to hiring managers, scheduling interviews, and onboarding new hires.
- Initiate and ensure background and drug testing are completed in a timely manner.
- Provides status updates on candidate onboarding to hiring managers.
- Assist with completing forms I-9 and verify and maintain documentation.
- Gather employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Establish, organize, and maintain electronic employee files, ensuring complete accuracy and confidentiality.
- Assist with employee engagement programs and events.
- Maintain and track HR data and metrics.
- Run ad hoc and weekly reports and distribute them appropriately.
- Assist in various HR projects/initiatives.
- Manage HR compliance related activities.
- Ability to handle confidential matters and act discreetly with solid judgment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred, although successful experience working in an HR environment may be an acceptable alternative to a degree.
- Ability to learn new and/or changing technology platforms.
- Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
- High-level customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, data entry and validation skills and high attention to detail required.
- Ability to adapt to the work environment, prioritize, and manage competing demands.
- Strong skills in MS Office suite applications (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook).
