Job Summary
The Marketing Coordinator assists the department in all aspects of clerical and administrative support. Assignments generally involve assisting in planning and execution of marketing campaigns and ensuring the efficient operation of the department's workflow. This includes collecting relevant data and information, developing spreadsheets, tracking results and managing the actual preparation of the plan document.
Responsibilities
- Assist in development of marketing campaigns, including brainstorming, coordinating asset creation & dissemination, and campaign monitoring.
- Assists in creation, scheduling and trafficking News 12 on-air info bar.
- Support marketing team by trafficking promos.
- Supports department in tracking marketing campaign results, including data entry, campaign analysis and creating campaign recaps.
- Assists in special projects as requested, including weekly status reports, data entry, creating presentations, and invoice processing
- Travel to the News 12 newsrooms as needed.
- Manage requests and logistics for all News 12 community events across seven News 12 regions.
- Assist in planning and execution and provide on-site support for internal News 12 events.
- Coordinate News 12 activations and handle purchase of equipment needs i.e., booth, Thunderbolt 12, talent, giveaways etc.
- Manage talent appearance requests, working with News Directors in all regions on approvals.
- Support Sales Team with added value event fulfillment.
- Maintain a tracking system for News 12 community events.
- Liaise between Editorial and Events to align initiatives and coverage with talent.
- Vendor selection, pricing, ordering and distribution of all News 12 apparel and premiums for internal and external use, including tracking of News 12 promotions inventory.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Communications
- Minimum 4 years of experience working at a media company or advertising/promotions agency; news industry experience preferred
- Exceptional organizational, follow-up and time-management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly build credibility
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Able to maintain, at all times, the highest standards of ethics and integrity
- Advanced knowledge and skills of computer software, utilizing windows-based software (Proficient in Microsoft Office; Google G Suite; Dropbox)
- Strong understanding of budgets, invoicing and negotiating costs with outside vendors
- Proficiency in posting on social media and web
- Basic copy writing skills

This position is identified as being performed in/or reporting to company operations in New York State. Salary ranges are supplied in compliance with New York State law. Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $42,000.00 - $69,000.00 / year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
