Job Summary
The Commission Supervisor plays a critical role to the operational success of the Sales Organization by providing metrics to our senior leaders and ensuring the sales compensation programs align with sales strategy. Commission Supervisor is responsible for managing the entire commission process, conducting audits, and ensuring the accurate payments for their assigned sales channels. The Commission Supervisor plays an integral role in the design, development, and tracking of all commission plans.
Responsibilities
- Oversees the implementation of new processes, and commission structures as well as, the day-to-day administration of commission plans.
- Collaborates with other Departments (Sales, Business Planning, and IT) to ensure the timely implementation of new processes or programs.
- Integrates data across multiple systems to gather sales information, analyze, and audit commission payments.
- Performs system data integrity and security checks monthly, researching and resolving any issues found.
- Coaches and provides operational support to the Commission Analysts with the resolution of issues or any matter related to the calculation of payments.
- Provides advice to Sales Management through understanding of variable compensation plans, rules, and sales reporting while making appropriate recommendations.
- Supervises monthly closing procedures that involve reconciliation of payroll.
- Develops “what-if” scenarios and quality assurance modeling to ensure data accuracy.
- Identifies inconsistencies by performing monthly audits of financial data and analyze statistical trends.
- Effectively builds and maintains plan documents, presentation materials, and calculators.
- Participate in special projects and performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in sales commission processing and financial analysis.
- Preferred 3 years of experience in a supervisory or management role.
- Advanced Excel skills. Ability to prepare spreadsheets and analytical models using complex formulas, functions, links, macros.
- Advanced MS Access skills with previous experience building and managing databases.
- Prior financial modeling experience, with the ability to understand and analyze financial data.
- Previous project management experience with the ability to organize, plan, and execute assigned duties and any special projects with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated track record of maintaining confidentiality of highly sensitive employee data and business plans.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience with the lifecycle of a sale and working knowledge of customer relationship management platforms and billing systems, is preferred. SalesForce.com and Cabledata/IDA experience
