Job Summary

The primary responsibility of the Sr. Producer is to facilitate the production of on-air promos, sales tapes and marketing projects designed to promote awareness of network's programming and strengthen its brand. The Sr. Producer will juggle multiple projects while working closely with staff editors under very tight budgets and deadlines. Sr. Producer will work directly with VP, Creative Director and Associate Creative Director to ensure creative vision for all on-air and marketing production is relayed to Editors and realized in the end product. Candidate must work well under pressure while effectively communicating with the creative staff. The Sr. Producer will also work with senior management to execute show launch campaigns and channel image campaigns in house and when outside agencies, production companies and/or shoots are involved. Candidate must be able to develop and produce both small and large shoots from start to finish based on VP/CD vision while adhering to established budget. Sr. Producer will work closely with production manager on all budgeting for graphics, shoots, and post production. 



  • Maintains the voice of the network and furthers its mission statements.
  • Simultaneously produces multiple on-air and marketing projects with multiple editors in multiple edit rooms with creative and technical astuteness while ensuring on-time, on budget delivery of end product.
  • Communicates effectively with Voice over talent, scheduling personnel, audio/video/graphics engineers to ensure optimal completion of assigned production tasks.
  • Produces all major campaign spots, executing the creative vision of the VP, Creative Director and Associate Creative Director.
  • Produces all large and small shoots for dept from pre-production thru post and delivery, working with production manager to stay within budget.
  • Oversees implementation of network graphics package.
  • Routinely determines more cost-effective means of achieving goals.
  • Completes supplementary logging/budget/trafficking paperwork to be submitted with projects.
  • Reports all production related music usage to appropriate vendors.
  • Maintains records of all licensing dates for materials used in productions.
  • Oversees all voiceover sessions.
  • Ensures delivery of ALL spots on time



  • Key Experiences/Achievements
    • 5-7 years production experience in broadcast or cable television production with 3 years minimum experience producing live action shoots
    • Ability to simultaneously manage creative execution of post production projects in multiple edit suites.
    • Ability to create production budgets as well as manage projects against established budgets.

    • Excellent knowledge of Avid editing systems, audio mixing systems, audio record systems, and graphics integration.

    • Ability to create production budgets as well as manage projects against established budgets.
