Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated Account Executive who will be an integral addition in growing our digital ad sales within the political and advocacy vertical. The right candidate has boundless energy and will leverage their agency contacts, both new and existing, in their pursuit to drive revenue outcomes, exceed sales goals, and provide customized solutions that drive client success. They are an individual who will work closely with a team of industry veterans in having a hand in shaping the future of political media.


  • Build a book of new business, with a focus on political and advocacy campaigns, determining necessary strategy to achieve clients’ goals.
  • Become knowledgeable on a4 Media’s value proposition and product offerings.
  • Strategically and creatively build a pipeline of sales targets.
  • Partner with Client Services to manage, renew and upsell existing clients, ensuring clients’ needs are being met.
  • Accurately project and forecast activity of all accounts.
  • Prepare quality proposals and respond to RFPs in a timely manner.
  • Develop presentations and marketing materials.
  • Utilize CRM (Salesforce) to track and manage sales opportunities.


  • 3+ years sales experience with political and advocacy agencies
  • Prior work experience in relevant media sales with an emphasis in digital media
  • Previous experience successfully driving revenue through prospecting, discovery, pitching, closing and renewing business preferred
  • Outstanding presentation and communication skills, including negotiation skills and the ability to sell the value of a premium offering, not just the program or price
  • Familiarity with connected video, OTT platforms, and general knowledge of the political ecosystem
  • Able to understand and leverage data
  • Ability to thrive and be highly effective in a fast-paced environment

Salary ranges are supplied in compliance with New York State law.  Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $58,738.00  - $96,499.00 / year. The rate/Range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
