Job Summary
The Specialist provides support across the breadth of work managed by the Programming team. With limited oversight, this role manages administrative, analytical, and project-based work supporting all aspects of programming acquisition and contract compliance.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the management of external relationships with key partners, including high-level executives, outside the organization and internal relationships with groups within the organization.
- Develop and maintain a contract status report for all agreements/amendments actively being negotiated.
- Create deal summaries for networks, studios and partnership agreements and track contractual obligations and rights.
- Support the negotiation and renewal of expiring agreements, expanded rights for existing agreements and new business agreements for smaller deals.
- Communicate license fee instructions for transactional VOD (Video on demand) to Accounting.
- Lead or support ad-hoc projects and initiatives throughout the year that are related to the fulfillment of departmental goals and objectives, including management of timelines and deliverables.
- Lead and oversee programming coop and marketing obligations by preparing and submitting monthly cross channel spot schedule to a4 traffic and preparing and submitting invoices (with supporting affidavits and affidavit reconciliation) to Network/Programmers to secure collection of revenue.
- Prepare and submit monthly commission invoices and assist Accounting in collection of monthly commission amounts.
- Supply Accounting with copies of invoices, payment checks, and YTD actual cross channel/affidavit amounts.
- All other general administrative support for Programming team members including maintenance of programming contracts and other department files, liaising with internal and external contacts, and responding to issues and tasks of the department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably in the private sector
- Proficient knowledge, with proven experience, of Microsoft Office applications
- Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to interact with all levels of management
- Well organized and detail oriented, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain highest degree of confidentiality and diplomacy

Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $59,758.00 - $95,613.00 / year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
