Job Summary

We are seeking a talented project manager to join our Project Management Office (PMO). The ideal candidate will bring value to the a4 News & Advertising organization by utilizing their Waterfall and Agile style expertise to ensure programs and projects are successfully implemented. The PMO Project Manager is to advise, train, and execute on all best practices across project management disciplines.

Reporting to the Director of Project Management, PMO Project Manager will support a variety of projects, working with a number of different departments and teams across the a4 enterprise as well as 3rd party solution partners. The project manager will interact with leadership and key stakeholders to present updates on both operational and systems projects that support a4’s strategic objectives.

  • Develops and presents status reporting to all levels of leadership and core project teams.
  • Leads and manages small/medium/large scale PMO-assigned projects throughout the project lifecycle, including all aspects of project management best practices and tools.
  • Manages, trains, and enforces PMO governance; owns and updates documentation in support of continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Establishes an in-depth knowledge and awareness of a4’s and assigned projects’ mission, vision, and goals as well as supported platforms, systems, business areas, and respective workflows.
  • Responsible for the positive health and success of PMO assigned programs/projects.
  • Coordinates, drives, and monitors activities of all parties involved to ensure the project is completed on time, within budget, and meets quality standards.
  • Proactively monitors/controls/mitigates risks to the triple constraint (budget, timeline, scope); collaborates with team(s) to perform ongoing issue assessment/remediation.
  • Authors, reviews, and maintains all key program/project artifacts, including project charter, scope, timeline, RACI, RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Decisions), communication, and test plans.
  • Ensures all requirements/EPICS/user stories are clearly documented, understood, approved, prioritized, and reflected in centralized repository.
  • Owns and manages program/project’s internal and external 3rd party partners including training (knowledge transfer), deliverable assignments and allocations. Achieves highest level of output quality and integrity.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships across all levels of the organization; maintains a positive, collaborative team atmosphere and work environment to promote project work productivity and successful outcomes.
  • Participate or lead vendor procurements and RFI/RFP’s;


  • Bachelor’s degree in technical or related field required.
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Minimum six years of project management experience required.
  • Experience managing projects in Waterfall and Agile required.
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills; ability to effectively, clearly, and concisely communicate across all levels of leadership.
  • Thrives on team building and understanding of program/project best practice methodologies required.
  • PMO experience and proficiency with project management software required to manage a PMO, i.e., dashboard reporting, program management and all additional technologies (i.e. PM platforms, Salesforce, SharePoint) and ability to learn new internal PM software required.
  • Ability to work with vendors and provide strong project support required.

Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $96,020.00 - $153,632.00 / year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
