This position is responsible for managing the Altice USA compensation team. The Sr. Director, Compensation role plans, develops and implements new and revised compensation programs, policies and procedures to align with the company's goals and competitive practices. This position is responsible for ensuring that company compensation programs (base, short-term and long-term) are consistently administered in compliance with internal policies and government regulations. The position will conduct expert analysis and model various compensation approaches in support of senior management. Using strong communication skills, the candidate will present program and strategy materials to senior leadership on programs that have a direct impact on the attraction and retention of key talent across the organization. This position requires analytical, problem solving and influencing skills, as well as a deep technical expertise in executive and incentive compensation design.
Responsibilities
• Oversees the implementation and administration of all aspects of compensation programs, including: compensation philosophy, goals and objectives, job analysis, job evaluation, market surveys, FLSA compliance and analysis, salary increase practices and implementation relating to salary changes, and any related communications activities.
• Manages the annual compensation process, including partnering with HR technology team on updates to our compensation system.
• Oversees policies and procedures for the maintenance of an equitable wage and salary structure. Manages the participation in external market data surveys, providing up-to-date market intelligence to management for the determination of company pay practices as they relate to the competitive marketplace.
• Designs and implements all elements of executive compensation, including cash and equity programs, ensuring integration and alignment of executive pay with overall company goals and objectives.
• Manages the company’s equity plan administrator to ensure long-term compensation plans are administered accurately.
• Monitors and integrates ongoing changes to legislative and regulatory compliance issues, partnering with Legal to ensure compliance with federal and state employment regulations.
• Partners with Talent Acquisition team and HR Business Partners to model and develop competitive offer packages for external hires.
• Oversees preparation of materials for the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors which includes competitive data analysis, plan design alternatives, officer compensation, director pay, and performance incentive plans.
• Oversees the development of the company’s annual proxy statement and other public filings.
• Works closely with Finance, Legal, and Tax business partners in the design and compliance of long and short term incentive plans.
• Oversees compliance, documentation and data analysis associated with ensuring that controls are in place and are adequate to support the SOX process.
• Provides consultative support and established policy guidance as appropriate to fellow HR team members and management functions to ensure full integration, transparency, and communication of all compensation programs.
• Ensures data integrity and timeliness of information entered in HRIS. Continually strives for best practices and efficiency in technology.
Qualifications
- Ten or more years of compensation experience within a large organization.
- Proven ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.
- Significant experience in executive compensation design and sales incentive compensation.
- Strong data mining and analytical skills, with an ability to provide data driven insights.
- Proven track record with process and systems improvement.
- Executive presence, with an ability to work at the highest levels of the organization, as well as an ability to establish relationships at all levels of the company.
- Experience managing large, complex projects end to end.
- Capable of managing a consistently high level of activity and constantly changing priorities.
- Ability to work with a variety of people with different views to reach consensus.
- Familiarity with unionized workforce and experience with collective bargaining.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Finance or a related field required. Advanced degree preferred.
- World at Work Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Certified Executive Compensation Professional (CEP)

Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in New York is $183,600.00 - $233,400.00 / year. For other locations, please inquire with your recruiter.
