Job Summary

As ad technology and media consumption change, our products are diversifying and the infrastructure has become more complex - all at an extremely fast pace. Altice USA News & Advertising is seeking a Yield Manager that sees this as a challenge and is enthusiastic to oversee the monetization of RateMyProfessors.
Who we are: Rate My Professor’s(“RMP”) is on a mission to grow our reliable and familiar user generated content site that millions of college students use when deciding their class schedule to being the go to platform for university students to use to navigate their college experience throughout their college journey.

Responsibilities

  •  Develop, implement, and maintain monetization strategies 
  •  Manage and understand the complete picture of programmatic inventory utilization; recommend and implement plans to increase yield 
  •  Manage all levers of yield including but not limited to viewability, floor rates, SSP evangelism, header-bidding configuration 
  •  Report on inventory consumption, rates and trends 
  •  Partner with the team that is responsible for fulfilling direct-sold campaigns 
  •  Work closely with ad product and sales leaders to ensure that ad products, packages and programmatic offerings support marketplace demands 
  •  Work closely with engineering, product and growth teams to ensure that the growth of the media assets align with revenue goals. 
  •  Build and maintain an indirect revenue model to forecast revenue for financial budgeting and pacing 
  •  Establish processes & best practices for onboarding new deal IDs, ad partners, tools & products 
  •  Assist in the development of internal controls to ensure integrity of business processes and data 
  •  Review escalated ad delivery issues, working internally and with vendor teams to quickly resolve and minimize revenue impact 
  •  Stay abreast of changes in industry and where competitors are leading 
  •  Work with ad systems teams to ensure that technology leverage delivers efficiencies and insights 
  •  Monitor key revenue & performance metrics daily. Provide end of month data for financial reporting 
  •  Support in vendor contract management, AR/AP reconciliation, and negotiations 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years experience in yield management or digital ad operations at a publisher, ad tech company, ad agency or ad network
  •  Clear, strategic thinker with the ability to execute on priorities and is not afraid to roll sleeves up
  •  Ability to effectively work under pressure and loves to solve problems
  •  Strong communication and presentation skills
  •  Ability to develop monetization strategies for all platforms from the ground up
  •  Ability to initiate and maintain partner relationships, assess partnership viability and growth opportunities, & navigate deals
  •  Excellent understanding of standard business practices related to Sales Operations processes and systems (sales cycle, salesforce.com, reporting, forecasting, ad operations client services, and AR)
  •  Ability to aggregate data from multiple sources and compile it into a digestible and actionable format
  •  Experience with digital display and video ad formats (i.e. VAST) on all platforms web, mobile, app and OTT/ CTV platforms
  •  Best-Practice knowledge of working with DSPs, SSPs, and different type of deal types (PG, Open, PMP)
  •  Experience with Google Ad Manager or other digital ad serving tools for video and display
  •  Knowledge of Data Management platforms (Liveramp, Experian) a plus
  •  Experience with and enthusiasm for an organization experiencing rapid growth and diversification…but is still a little scrappy

Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $59,758.00 - $95,613.00 / year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
