Job Summary

  • Manage MDU retention/sales activities of all properties within C&C with a clear focus on competition in the MDU space and strategic accounts. Involved in planning, developing, implementing and monitoring MDU programs designed to retain and grow MDU customer base in an increasingly competitive market. , Utilize MDU database pulling information from cabledata the Altice USA Order Entry System as a key competitive tool in developing strategies to maximize effectiveness against competition. Produce reports stemming from MDU database illustrating subscriber penetration results, penetration by product, RPS, trends, and all pertinent information to be used as a strategic tool. Manage all aspects of Marketing Exchange Account program. Responsible for training the MDU Sales/Retention Account Executives and Account Managers on special project initiatives with a focus on Altice USA Order Entry System activity and MDU database reporting. Manage certain aspects of subscriber transition phases of SMATV/PCO (Satellite Master Antenna Television/Private Cable Operator) acquisitions. This includes coaching staff at lobby demos, coaching staff on proper Altice USA Order Entry System account and installation input/coding, and product knowledge. Support and implement full digital transition process as it pertains to MDUs. Manage MDU In-house channel reporting and troubleshooting. Manage PPAA (Preferred Provider Access Agreement) audit system. Oversees account management of MDU Bulk Rate Program.

Responsibilities

  • Work with VP, MDU Sales & Retention to develop annual budget projections, interim forecasts and long-range plans.
  • Work with VP, MDU Sales & Retention to develop annual sales plans relative to subscriber retention, acquisition, and revenue enhancement.
  • Compile weekly/monthly/annual performance reports for review by VP, MDU Sales
  • Conduct ongoing local meetings with staff to maximize information flow, continuity, productivity and efficiency.
  • Oversee local eyes and ears program with managers in existing MDU complexes to monitor potential infiltration of competition. Work with VP, MDU Sales & Retention to develop and implement competitive strategies
  • Work with VP, MDU Sales & Retention to administer and utilize MDU database.
  • Manage and audit PPAA program
  • Manage subscriber transition phases of SMATV/PCO acquisitions
  • Manage specific aspects of bulk rate program
  • Identify, analyze and coordinate pricing proposals and system wide initiatives.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues and opportunities in MDU marketplace.
    • Coordinate local sales & retention efforts.
  • Assist in all aspects of MDU strategic direction as it pertains to competition and MDU initiatives
  • Coordination of Sales fulfillment opportunities that fall into gray areas (residential/commercial). Lead distribution to commercial sales generated from real estate MDU contacts.
  • Ongoing staff training needs and assessment of sales staff.
  • Establishment of fair and equitable compensation plans for account staff
  • Process flow of new construction and MDU design requests. Process of design through Altice USA Order Entry System release.
  • Communicate build out process and timing between construction, multiple depts., and clients
  • Coordinate overall Billing processes in MDU environment
  • Database administration.
  • Advise, guidance, approval of all contractual and regulatory matters.

Qualifications

  • Management Skills
    • Must be able to make effective presentations, have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to interface with all levels of management.
    • Should have financial/statistical budgeting experience, an aptitude in negotiation, and strong analytical ability.
    • Creative flair, conceptual and project specific, is desirable.
    • Teamwork, integrity, flexibility, stresses tolerance and concerns for excellence a must.
    • Demonstrated ability to analyze problems, to probe facts, identify and question assumptions and find creative and effective solutions.
    • Ability to understand and respond effectively to activity cross-functional interdependencies to ensure that they do not negatively effect the execution of sales.
    • A strong communicator and team player that can foster collaboration.
    • An organizationally perceptive person who will respect the traditions and cultures of Cablevision and who can implement new ideas within that context.
  • Technical/Functional Competencies
    • Strong computer literacy.
    • Trained in Sales Presentation, Management and Leadership Skills.
    • Thorough understanding of the key aspects of direct and telemarketing sales.
  • Key Experiences/Achievements
    • A Bachelors degree in Business with communications emphasis preferred.
    • A minimum of 3-5 years of sales/marketing experience preferably in the cable TV industry required.
    • A minimum of 3-5 years of proven success in sales supervisory or management experience preferred.
    • Demonstrated success at developing and implementing competitive sales and retention strategies a plus.
    • Prior success in competitive MDU sales and retention environment.
