Job Summary

This role is responsible for leading a team of Project Managers within the Service Delivery organization. The Service Delivery Manager is expected to apply professional project and program management expertise, demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, and utilize effective reporting and presentation skills to manage both direct and indirect reports in a matrixed, cross-functional environment. 

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of Project Managers across Fiber and Broadband construction projects, ensuring high-quality, on-time, and within- budget delivery of products and services.
  • Establish, implement, and mature standardized project management methodologies, including portfolio reporting, risk management, change control, and scalable communication practices.
  • Drive strategic initiatives by coordinating cross-functional teams and aligning project goals with business objectives, ensuring measurable outcomes.
  • Act as a liaison with senior executives and key stakeholders, maintaining open, honest, and continuous communication to ensure transparency and alignment.
  • Oversee full project lifecycle responsibilities including scope, cost, schedule, resource allocation, procurement, and performance metrics.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to develop a high-performing team culture, exemplifying professionalism, accountability, and a growth mindset.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to secure necessary resources and staffing, fostering strong partnerships to support enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Monitor project performance through data analysis and strategic reviews; report financials, progress, gaps, and risks to key stakeholders.
  • Promote the department’s capabilities across the organization, effectively communicating value, services, and outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Research and implement process improvements to enhance both financial and operational efficiency within service delivery and project execution.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred or equivalent work experience is required, Master's Degree a plus
  • Current Project Management Professional certification (PMP) preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor/train others in Project Management methodologies
  • 5+ years of experience in organizing, planning and executing large-scale projects from conception through implementation, involving internal personnel, contractors, and vendors; ability to analyze project needs and determine resources needed to meet objectives
  • Demonstrated organizational management skills in a highly complex, fast growing technical environment including personnel management, budget management and business planning
  • Experience creating, justifying and managing large multi-million dollar operating budgets
  • An ability to present and discuss technical, functional and management information in a clear and concise way that explains complex topics, is persuasive and promotes consensus
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and adjust priorities based on workload and direction from management and customer
  • Telecom Network Construction experience is highly preferred.
