Senior Programmatic Digital Buyer

New York Interconnect (NYI) - Through a strategic partnership between Altice USA, Charter Communications and Comcast, the New York Interconnect is among the largest single market advertising platforms in the United States.  We provide advertisers with the ability to reach more than 6.2 million households in the New York DMA using a variety of advanced advertising products, including the ability to place ads on more than 85 cable networks as well as planning and campaign measurement.


The Senior Digital Buyer will assume full responsibility for the design, creation and execution of the NYI Trade Desk. The buyer will handle all hands-on programmatic media buying as well as direct through both MVPD and other partners (banner, video, paid social and mobile). Partnering with Campaign Operations, they will provide insight and research in identifying and selecting media partners that achieve identified strategic and tactical objectives. Responsible for all negotiation and value creation with identified vendors. Create robust reporting capabilities, supplying aggregated quantitative and qualitative information for rate and program negotiations.


  • Design, launch and run trade platform for NYI
  • Provide oversight and leadership of end-to-end buying process
  • Through various partnerships, support planning, buying and optimization of programmatic media for NYI inventory
  • Support real time bidding (RTB) optimization and strategy through ad-exchange media buying
  • Negotiate pricing for upcoming campaigns, as requested by sales partners
  • Work with Third party ad servicing companies, ensuring oversight and accuracy of impressions delivered
  • Purchase search, display, social media, and mobile advertising using various demand side platforms.
  • On-going trouble shooting and problem resolution, including tracking of ad impressions, “tags” and delivery
  • Implement best practices for bidding, budget management, ad operations and reporting
  • Design and implement strategies to improve performance for clients, supporting recommendations with results data
  • Analyze performance to understand value provided by MVPDs and other vendors


  • B.A./B.S. degree or equivalent required
  • 3-5 years' experience in online Programmatic advertising - either at a major publisher, ad network, ad agency or in house digital media leader doing hands on keyboarding
  • Minimum 1 year of hands-on programmatic buying experience, through a DSP or major trade desk
  • Familiar with trade desks such as Source Inventor
  • Proven ability to drive programmatic performance
  • Web savvy & knowledgeable about multiple DSP platforms
    Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Strong familiarity with ad operations and campaign management (e.g. tagging, ad-servers, viewability tracking)
  • Experience utilizing tools such as AdServer, Prisma, Nielsen, @Plan, AdRelevance, Google Analytics, other software as needed.
  • High level proficiency and knowledge of Microstost Office products, particilarly Excel
